This collection of poems entitled 7 shades of black is part of a larger chore-poem which also bears the name 7 shades of black written by Hassan K. Salim in 1980.

This collection has won several awards in theatre, television, and poetic journals. It was also performed on Manhattan cable TV and national television several times.
